Meet the Staff

Editorial Team

Harry Hughes | Editor-in-Chief

A graduate of Cambridge University, Harry currently oversees editorial operations across Quintessentially's worldwide luxury lifestyle group, and is a contributing editor to numerous online and print publications. He has experience in business and intelligence consulting, has been involved in several 'nearly successful' .com startups, and cites Dostoevsky, Hemingway, Kierkegaard and Poe as key influences on his literary style.

Lauren Clarke | Deputy Editor

The quintessential Kentish girl, Lauren moved up North to study at Manchester University, graduating in 2009 with a degree in English Literature and Drama. After a bit of soul searching she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in editorial, so she traveled to the bright lights of London Town to seek her fortune. Several internships at the BBC and OK! Magazine later, she arrived at the doors of Quintessentially. Fast forward 12 months and Lauren is delighted to join us as Deputy Editor. In the future Lauren hopes to have some novel worthy adventures in far flung corners of the world - but for now she is happiest when spending time with her much loved family and friends, enjoying a glass or two of wine.

Lucia van der Post | Editorial Consultant

During 26 years as Editor of the 'How To Spend It' section of the weekend Financial Times, Lucia van der Post made it a 'must read' on the agenda of every serious shopper and trend watcher, while also starting the paper's hugely successful How To Spend It monthly colour supplement. Now one of Europe's most respected commentators on the luxury goods market, she is consultant to many leading brands and publications.
