Meet the Staff

Each member of Quintessentially's team has years of experience and is an expert in his or her field, with a wealth of contacts and connections. All share a passion for quality wherever it is found and are committed to seeking it out for Quintessentially's members.

Our staff now comprises almost 700 people globally, and the below sections show just a sample of our staff.

Board Of Directors

Aaron Simpson | Founder & Group Executive Chairman

Aaron Simpson is a co-founder of Quintessentially. Having graduated from Oxford University, Aaron enjoyed an illustrious career in film production, initially working for Scala and Rocket Pictures and then establishing his own production company, Flashlight Films. Aaron is an instrumental figure in the Quintessentially Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting charities around the globe. His strong entrepreneurial edge has been the driving force in establishing Quintessentially as a truly global, influential British brand.

Maurice Benisty | Non-executive Director

Maurice has over seventeen years corporate finance experience having held a number of executive positions at Paribas, Bankers Trust, Lehman Brothers and GE Capital. He is currently Chief Investment Officer at GE Corporate Finance Bank SAS, a division of GE Capital. In this role he manages a pan European team responsible for the origination of leveraged loans and other corporate finance related transactions. Maurice has also co-founded and invested in a number of early stage companies, successfully raising capital for them and assisting them in the planning and execution of ambitious growth plans. He currently sits on the board of Groupo Corporativo Ono SA and has had significant non executive board level experience over the past ten years. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Maurice co-founded the Haverstock Finance Academy in partnership with Haverstock School, McKinsey and Abbey where he currently serves as Chairman of the advisory board. Maurice graduated from Nottingham University in 1991 with a degree in Law and Politics and is married with three children.

Anthony Brooke | Non-executive Director

Anthony Brooke joined S.G. Warburg & Co. in 1972 and during a 23 year career with the firm was involved with the development of its international capital markets and corporate finance businesses in the U.K, North America and Australasia. He became a Director of S.G. Warburg in 1981 and a Vice Chairman in 1994. He is a director of the listed PR company Huntsworth plc and was formerly a partner of the specialist fund of hedge fund manager, Fauchier Partners LLP. He has a BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Paul Drummond | Founder Group Commercial Director

Paul Drummond is a co-founder of Quintessentially. Having attended Oxford University, where he graduated in law, he qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and worked for Norton Rose from 1997 to 2000, specialising in private company and commercial law. In the early years of Quintessentially, Paul was responsible for the implementation of all of Quintessentially’s initial critical operational systems and the growth of the Member Assistance team. He was then based in Dubai for three years where, as Head of Quintessentially's Middle East and North Africa operations (a position he still holds), he facilitated expansion into Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco. Paul is responsible for all significant commercial matters relating to the Quintessentially Group.

Ben Elliot | Founding Director

Ben Elliot co-founded Quintessentially in 2000.
Ben graduated with a Bsc in Politics and Economics from the University of Bristol. He is Chairman of the Quintessentially Foundation (www.quintessentiallyfoundation.org) and has been a pioneering force behind Quintessentially Soho at The House of St Barnabas.

Emma Sherrard Matthew | Chief Executive Officer

Emma Sherrard Matthew was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Quintessentially in May 2011. In her new role she is keen to continue creating networks and building relationships while expanding the company globally.

Emma joined the team in 2005 and her commitment to excellence has quickly established Quintessentially as the world’s leading luxury lifestyle company, with over 60 offices globally - and more planned for the coming year. Her career history ranges from event organization for heads of state and Hollywood royalty, to promoting British business in Asia.

Born in Singapore and raised in Hong Kong and England, Emma is passionate about luxury and enjoys a range of competitive sports and spends time exploring the globe. As a member of the Group’s Executive team, Emma is responsible for the strategic development of Quintessentially’s diverse business interests. Emma will be predominantly based in Hong Kong, a strategic decision agreed by the Board.
